Court Story

The article that I found is a court case in Tampa Bay, Florida. Terri Schiavo, a women who has spent 15 years in a vegetable state, once told her husband, Michael, that she would never want to be kept alive artificially. Schiavo's parents have been fighting his efforts, but Pinellas Circuit Court Judge George Greer Monday ruled that her feeding tube be removed March 18.

Schiavo's parents asked the judge Monday to allow the severely brain-damaged woman to divorce her husband, accusing him of adultery and not acting in his wife's best interests. Schiavo has three weeks left to live and her parents would like to see her divorced from her husband. The case is in the process of being appealed.
I like this article because I have never heard of a circumstance like this one before. Courts and families have battled over whether or not there is reason to take a person off life support, but not whether there is reason for divorce.

The structure of the story wasn't well organized. I didn't like the lead and thought the story in general was choppy and confusing. The reprter should have made the story shorter and more concise. There was alot of detail, but it seemed to bounce around in paragraphs.
