Court Story

The article I read appeared in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal online version on March 2, 2005. The article, written by Hope Yen for the AP, was in regards to a supreme court case regarding the ten commandments being displayed on a monumnet outside the Texas state capitol. Supreme Court justice Antoine Scalia informed people that government proclamations with the word God in them is permissable. As the article goes on howver you see the grey area in the case. The precedent for this decision is mixed at best. However, you see as it goes on why Scalia made the proclamation he did. Overall the article serves more as a outline of past cases and help inform people on the issue and past judgements.
